Will Gas Prices Continue To Rise?
It’s getting worse…
For the fifth straight week in a row now gas prices have risen in the United States. The average price for a gallon of gasoline now is now climbed by 2.9 cents more than previously.
According to Fox, the current national average for a gallon of gasoline is $3.34 per gallon. Astoundingly, that is a 76-cent increase per gallon compared to last month and 93-cent increase per gallon compared to last year!
Gasbuddy’s Patrick De Haan noted that West Texas Intermediate crude oil hit $88 per barrel which is the highest since 2014.
What’s worse is that De Haan believe the price will keep increasing. De Haan explained that while the increases will remain small, prices will likely still be going up.
“With continued concerns over geopolitical tensions and crude oil supply, the small yet noticeable increases are likely to continue,” De Haan noted.
