Trump vs DeSantis: Who Will Really Fix U.S. Economy?

According to the most recent data from Morning Consult, a higher number of Republicans have shown trust in former President Donald Trump’s ability to address various significant issues in the country, including energy and China relations, compared to their confidence in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
According to Breitbart, in the recent Morning Consult survey, it was revealed that in the Republican primary race, former President Donald Trump holds a substantial lead of 34 points over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. The survey indicated that a majority of 56 percent expressed their support for Trump, while only 22 percent showed support for DeSantis. None of the other individuals listed managed to garner more than five percent of support in the survey.
Morning Consult’s findings also highlight another advantage for former President Donald Trump: Republicans tend to place more trust in him when it comes to various issues. For instance, a significant 71 percent of Republicans expressed their trust in Trump’s ability to handle the economy, while only 19 percent showed the same level of trust in Governor Ron DeSantis. Similarly, an overwhelming majority of 72 percent trusted Trump to handle relations with China, whereas only 18 percent expressed the same level of trust in DeSantis. These results indicate a higher level of confidence in Trump’s competence and expertise among Republicans surveyed.

Conducted between May 24-27, 2023, the survey included a sample size of 777 potential Republican primary voters. It is important to note that the survey carries a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.
