Blue State Giving Away Your Tax Dollars
This is frustrating.
Americans are growing more frustrated than ever with the with the city of Los Angeles after they began guaranteed income pilot program last year which gives out $1,000 per month to low-income families with no strings attached.
According to Fox, the program which is called Basic Income Guaranteed: Los Angeles Economic Assistance Pilot (BIG LEAP) gave payments to 3,000 households and there were no restrictions on how the money could be spent.
To qualify, applicants in the City of Los Angeles needed to be at least 18 years old and have an income at or below the federal poverty level and they needed at least one dependent minor or be pregnant.
The Los Angeles website justified giving people American tax dollars by saying, “The relentless poverty experienced by too many Angelenos emerges out of a lack of financial resources, not a lack of judgment. Employment alone cannot always break the cycle of poverty, and research has consistently demonstrated that direct cash aid is a powerful tool for ensuring greater stability for vulnerable Americans.”
