U.S. Shoppers Hit With New “Fee”
You can thank Biden for this.
As of March 28th, Walmart customers in New Jersey will be subject to an additional charge of 42 cents per bag, which has been met with anger from the customers.
According to The Sun, starting from the next week, Walmart will stop providing single-use bags in their stores or for pickup. As a result, customers will need to bring their own reusable bags or purchase them at the checkout counter. While shoppers are getting upset with Walmart, they should remember that this was all the doing of President Biden and the Democrats who are fighting to their clean and green energy policies.
Although New Jersey has implemented laws to address the increasing problem of plastic pollution, Walmart customers are becoming dissatisfied with the company’s policies.
One angry customer jumped onto Twitter and wrote, “#Walmart was charging a bag fee when shopping, this I know because I was charged. Now charging for the privilege of using their carts?”
In an effort to reduce pollution, many other states across the country have prohibited the use of single-use plastics.
States such as Vermont, Maine, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, New York, and Oregon have also implemented policies to discontinue the provision of single-use bags both in-store and for pickup.
