Summer Plans For Americans In Jeopardy
This is going to cause problems for thousands of travelers.
In a surprising new statement, JetBlue has just confirmed to travelers that they will be cutting and suspending several of their summer routes due to a higher than expected staffing shortage and increased travel demands from Americans.
The airlines told Fox News about their new decision and stated, “As part of the refinements to our summer schedule, we are reducing some flying to help to ease pressure on our operation during this busy season so that our customers can depend on us to get to them where they need to go. These adjustments also help reduce flying that does not make as much sense in the current environment of significantly higher fuel prices.”
So far JetBlue has cut two routes and suspended seven more.
Simple Flying alerted travelers that JetBlue made three other changes to flights from New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport.
JetBlue isn’t the only airlines that will likely face more travel cuts. Americans looking to travel this summer should prepare in advance or figure out alternate travel solutions in case their flights get cut this summer.
