GOP Pushes Gas Tax Holiday

Virginia’s Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin is now considering giving out a tax break from record-high gas prices to Virginians.

According to Fox, Gov. Youngkin revealed his plans for the “largest tax rebate in the history of Virginia,”  which also intends to remove the state taxes on gas for one year.

“We’re going to suspend the most recent increase in the gas tax, which is only making prices at the pump worse,” Youngkin explained. “As inflation steals America’s income, we’ve got to get taxes down.”

Virginia is one of the top 10 states with the highest gas prices and locals are feeling the pain.

“This is a big moment for us to recognize that the average American family is really, really hurting right now,” Youngkin explained.
