Retailers Regret Defund Request
They made a huge mistake.
Desperate CEO’s of major retail businesses are now begging Democrats and President Biden to help them after several series of smash-and-grab robberies have brought their businesses to financial desperation.
What’s funny about this is that these are the same businesses who just last year supported organizations that called for the defunding and destruction of police stations and police forces.
According to Fox Business, Sean Pritchard, president of the San Jose Police Officers Association stated, “Many corporate leaders jumped on the woke bandwagon and wrote big checks to organizations that still continue to advocate to defund the police. They did not think of anything beyond not being labeled a racist.”
Almost two dozen CEO’s of major businesses have signed letters to President Biden and other Democrats begging for them to help stop theft crimes.
Some of the companies that asked for help were Target, Nordstrom, Levi Strauss, Ulta Beauty and Home Depot.
In the letter they asked, “Leading retailers are concerned about the growing impact organized retail crime is having on the communities we proudly serve. This important legislation will modernize our consumer protection laws to safeguard families and communities from the sale of illicit products and we urge its quick passage.”
