Health Care Costs RISING For Retired Americans
This is not good news.
If you are retired, it has just been revealed that the cost of health care for retired Americans are set to rise rapidly and Americans are very worried.
According to Fox, a new report released by Fidelity found that the average cost for a retired couple with the average age of average 65-year-old will spend an average of $315,000 in health care and other medical costs throughout their retirement.
Last years prediction was just $300,000 showing a sharp increase of $15,000.
Most of the rising costs can be attributed to a sharp rise in Medicare Part B premiums for people who are 65+.
Medicare has brought on a 14.5% increase on premiums for Part B outpatient coverage this year because of inflation.
Fox further explained that currently older Americans are paying out $170.10 for Medicare Part B that comes directly out of their social Security benefits checks.
