U.S. Gas Prices Take New Turn
Well, it’s a good start…
There’s finally some good news, gas prices have now fallen for 21 days straight even though the war in Ukraine is still ongoing.
According to Insider, while gas prices are still unbearably high at the moment, the United States has seen a 21 consecutive day drop in prices. This drop makes it the longest streak the United States has seen since April 2020 which was around the time that the pandemic began.
At the moment, the current national average for gas prices is at $4.800 per gallon. One week ago the national average was $4.881 however the average a year ago was $3.134.
Furthermore, it appears that the demand for gasoline is also falling. The EIA has found that the tight US gas market is beginning to finally cool off. Hopefully President Biden and the Democrats can continue to bring down prices but Americans think it may be unlikely based on Biden’s attitude towards American energy.
