Thousands Of Flights Canceled Over Memorial Day Weekend, Who Do You Blame?
No Chicken or Beef This Memorial Day?
Sadly, it appears that ground beef and chicken breast prices are more expensive than ever before with prices reaching levels which have become nearly unaffordable for many people in the middle class.
According to White House Wire, Bloomberg found that ground beef and chicken prices have reached a historic high selling for just under $5 per pound and over $4 per pound.
As most Americans know Memorial Day typically means the start of grilling season but now many people are considering purchasing other foods instead now.
If this wasn’t bad enough, it also appears that inflation has also raised the cost of propane which is essential for many families who prefer to cook meat that way.
Senior analyst of animal protein commodities Michal Nepveux explained, “The inflationary environment is starting to take its toll. Instead of steak or chicken, we might have pasta or a pizza.”
