Farmers Send Critical Warning

What are we going to do?

If you haven’t noticed by now, Joe Biden’s presidency has lead to an increase in the cost of food. Sadly, the price surge isn’t even close to over yet and prices are expected to continue to soar.

Now, things have gotten so bad that American farmers have had to plant more soybeans than corn. This has only happen twice before in American history.

According to the Washington Examiner, farmers are being forced to do this because they are unable to deal with the rising cost of fertilizer. As a result these costs will be passed on to U.S. consumers.

Nebraska farmer John Dittrich admitted, “We have heard that some farmers have balked at buying at the high prices and have not filled their needs, hoping prices will go down.”

Farmers are forced into buying more soybeans because they put nitrogen back into the ground instead of extracting it like corn. This results in soybean needing much less fertilizer than corn. Bloomberg explained that on average 255 pounds of fertilizer is needed for corn compared to just 65 pounds needed for soybean.
