Dems Go To War Against Housewives
Is this really even necessary?
Under Joe Biden’s leadership the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is now considering a ban on all gas stoves to combat rising concerns of indoor air pollutants that are caused by home appliances.
According to Fox, the Consumer Product Safety Commission believes that some home appliances such as gas stoves create pollutants that can result in respiratory and health issues.
Agency commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. argued against gas stoves and said, “This is a hidden hazard. Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
As of right now, it is believed that around 35% of homes in the U.S. currently use gas stoves that can release harmful carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and other pollutants that can cause health concerns.
Democrat Senators Cory Booker and Don Beyer issued a letter to agency in December asking them to consider adding warning labels, range hoods and increasing performance standards.
Democrats also want gas appliances found in the home to be replaced with electric appliances to limit the use of fossil fuels.
Trumka hit back at critics of this new plan and said, “There is this misconception that if you want to do fine-dining kind of cooking it has to be done on gas. It’s a carefully manicured myth.”
