Dems Handing Out Stimulus To THIS Group
This is going to cause quite a controversy.
Not only a stimulus check but a city in California is now planning on giving out universal basic income (UBI) to their transgender and nonbinary residents.
According to Fox, Transgender residents in Palm Springs, California will soon be eligible to get a UBI of up to $900 per month for simply identifying as transgender or nonbinary with no strings attached.
This new pilot program has $200,000 set aside for allocation after a unanimous vote was recently passed.
Former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio, who was the first openly gay Republican councilman called the decision absolutely outrageous.
“We’re completely opposed to guaranteed or universal basic income programs, because they ultimately cause inflation and raise the cost of living on everyone — they don’t work,” DeMaio said.
“But at least some of them have minimum income requirements to qualify, whereas this one is no-strings-attached ‘woke’ virtue signaling to the LGBT community in a way that is not only offensive but discriminatory,” DeMaio added.
