Democrats Foolishly Destroy Their Own State

by Market FinancePosted onMay 19, 2023May 19, 2023

They should have thought this one through.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, several major cities in the United States have experienced a notable decline in their population, and leading the list is New York City, often referred to as the Big Apple, which has witnessed a significant decrease over a span of three years.

According to Fox, a recent report by the U.S. Census Bureau, which was published on Thursday, it has been estimated that over 468,200 individuals relocated from New York City between April 2020 and July 2022. This significant outflow of residents resulted in a 5.3% decline in the city’s population. The most substantial decrease occurred between the years 2020 and 2021, with a loss of slightly over 281,000 people.

During the same time period, only three other cities in the United States experienced more significant percentage decreases in population. San Francisco, California witnessed a loss of 7.5% of its residents, while Lake Charles in Louisiana saw a decline of 6.9%. Additionally, Revere, Massachusetts experienced a decrease of 5.9% in its population. These cities faced greater relative population losses compared to New York City.

Despite experiencing the departure of hundreds of thousands of residents, New York City continues to maintain its status as the largest city in America by a significant margin. With over 8.3 million people currently residing in the city, it remains a vibrant and populous urban center.

In addition to New York City, there are other notable cities in the United States with large populations. Los Angeles, the country’s second-largest city, has over 3.8 million residents, despite experiencing a population decline of approximately 76,000. Chicago holds the position of the third-largest city, with an estimated population of 2,665,039 as of July 1, 2022. However, Chicago has also encountered a decrease of more than 81,000 residents since April 2020. These cities demonstrate the diverse population dynamics across different urban centers in the United States.

It appears that Americans are fed up with Democrat policies. These statistics show how poor Democrat leadership has resulted in a stunted economy for residents of blue states.
