Biden Making Taxpayers Fund Immigrant Welfare
This is crazy.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has just filed a lawsuit against President Biden and his administration for a new rule change which will force American taxpayers to fund welfare programs for illegal immigrants who are brought into the country.
According to Breitbart, Federal immigration law originally required illegal aliens to be deported if they were going to depend on welfare programs like food stamps, Medicaid, or government housing. Now it appears that President Biden is trying to change to rules to allow illegals to depend on welfare without getting deported.
Paxton’s office issued a lawsuit against President Biden for this and explained, “The Biden Administration has demonstrated its intent not to enforce the law and to open the borders to illegal aliens who will be dependent upon welfare benefits.”
Typically illegal aliens would have to provide some type of financial proof to show that they will not rely on taxpayer funds via programs like welfare. Paxton explained that Biden’s new rule change “prevents consideration of statutorily required factors when determining whether an alien is likely to become a ‘public charge.’”
Paxton added, “The Biden Administration is committed to opening the borders to aliens who lack the ability to take care of themselves. Texans should not have to pay for these costly immigrants, nor should any other American. I will continue to defend the rule of law and fight to ensure that the massive costs of illegal immigration don’t further burden taxpayers.”
