President Biden is now begging the Supreme Court to step in and help him pass his goal to forgive hundreds of billions of dollars worth of student loan debt.
According to Fox, Biden’s Justice Department is now asking the Supreme Court to block previous rulings coming out of the states of Texas and Missouri that found massive student loan forgiveness “unconstitutional.”
Biden’s Justice Department is telling the Supreme Court that stalling student loan forgiveness will cause financial difficulty for millions of Americans since payments on student loan debt are expected to start back up in January.
A federal judge recently struck down Biden’s plan to forgive student loans and said, “Whether the Program constitutes good public policy is not the role of this Court to determine. Still, no one can plausibly deny that it is either one of the largest delegations of legislative power to the executive branch, or one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the United States.”
Biden is trying to forgive up to $20,000 in student loan debt for millions of Americans. President Biden helped Democrats win midterms with the promise to forgive student loan debt. After the midterm election were held things quickly changed. Many Americans now believe that Biden tricked them knowing that he was going to be unable to forgive student loan debt but doing so anyways for votes.
