Biden Takes Credit For Other’s Achievement
Here’s what happened…
As you may have heard, there was a massive railroad worker strike that was very close to happening. If the strike did happen up to 30% of America’s supply chain would have been halted.
Now it appears that the crisis was thankfully averted but now President Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg are celebrating the victory however little was actually fix the problem.
According to Fox Business, Biden called the averted railroad strike a “big win for America.” Both freight rail companies and unions negotiated for an astonishing 20 hours before they reached an agreement while White House representatives were listening in.
Biden gloated about the agreement and added, “This is a win for tens of thousands of rail workers, and for their dignity and the dignity of their work. It’s a recognition that during the early, dark, uncertain days of the pandemic, they showed up so every American could keep going.”
Thanks to the new agreement, railroad workers will receive a 24% increase in wages for the next five years along with better working conditions and new health care guarentees.
