Americans Working How Many Hours Under Biden?
Inflation really has terrorized the middle class.
Middle class Americans who earn an average wage now must put in more hours to be able to afford their rent thanks to President Biden’s inflation.
According to The Hill, a new study which was just published by Zillow has found that workers across the United States now must work around 63 hours per week to cover an average rent of $2,040 which is about 6 hours more of work compared to before the pandemic.
Furthermore, in just the last 5 years rent has increased by about 37 percent while wages have only increased by 23 percent. President Biden needs to work hard to lower inflation to give Americans the much needed relief they need.
Zillow’s senior economist Jeff Tucker explained, “Rents were growing at a record pace for much of 2021, squeezing budgets for renters moving or renewing leases.”
“Now, it appears more people are opting to double up with roommates or family, which means more vacancies and pressure on landlords to price their units competitively, offering some hope of relief on the horizon,” Tucker added.
