Americans Forced To Pay New Fees
Will your fees be increased?
If you are a customer of Verizon, your fees may rise and customers are not happy.
According to Fox News, beginning in June some of Verizon’s wireless postpaid consumer customers will see a raised charge of $1.35 per voice line to $3.30. Customers who use data lines however will not receive an administrative charge increase.
A Verizon spokesperson explained to Fox, “From time to time, we review and make adjustments to fees to defray some of Verizon’s administrative and telco expenses and costs of complying with regulatory requirements. This is not a price plan increase.”
What’s even worse is that if you are a business customer with Verizon, the company is planning on introducing a new “economic adjustment charge” on June 16th.
Why are these costs being raised? The rise in costs is attributed to inflation which is at a 40-year-high. Inflation caused by President Biden’s administration and his economic policies.
The Verizon spokesperson explained, “We work every day to maintain competitive prices for our business customers — often by absorbing increases that we incur. The current economic conditions impacting businesses worldwide continue to mount and despite our best efforts to mitigate further impact, we intend to offset a portion of these costs by implementing an Economic Adjustment Charge.”
