Americans Fleeing From These Cities
What did they think would happen?
Potential homebuyers are now looking to exit two very expensive cities in California more than any other city in the United States.
According to Fox, a new analysis by Redfin found that Americans were looking to leave San Francisco and Los Angeles with residents looking for other cities at a rate of 24% and 20%.
Redfin explained in their report. “Homebuyers typically leave expensive coastal job centers more than they leave other places, a trend that started before the pandemic and picked up steam due to remote work and rising housing costs. They most commonly head to more affordable regions. Sacramento, where homes cost less than half what they do in the Bay Area, is the most common destination for people [leaving] San Francisco, for instance.”
Redfin explained that they determined their rates of resident leaving by calculating the net outflow.
Following San Francisco and Los Angeles, Americans were also leaving New York City, District of Columbia and Boston.
All of these cities have one very big thing in common. They are Democrat lead cities. President Biden and the Democrat leaders of these cities are now suffering from their own leadership and Americans can’t even afford to live there even if they wanted to.
The report also found that Americans were looking to move to Sacramento, Las Vegas and Miami because of their affordability.
