Airport Fuel Shortage
Oh-no!
In a shocking turn of events, the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport issued fuel shortage alert today and alerted their passengers arrive at least two hours early because the Texas city was swamped with an influx of travelers.
Airport officials also told flights that were landing in the airport to come with more fuel than needed in case the airport can’t refuel them due to a lack of fuel.
According to Fox, ABIA spokesperson Sam Haynes stated, “This has become a more regular occurrence as the airport is seeing increased flight activity. There are no immediate impacts to operations, but it’s possible flights could have to divert to refuel before landing at AUS.”
This issue caused extremely long lines to get through airport security that ended up getting wrapped around outside the airport.
