White House Tells GOP To Get Lost
Biden and the Democrats are playing dirty games.
During a recent airing of CBS’s “Red & Blue” on Thursday, Gene Sperling, Senior Adviser to President Joe Biden, justified President Biden’s decision to not engage in discussions with Republicans regarding the debt limit.
According to Breitbart, Sperling argued that it is not appropriate for anyone to demand a conversation that is based on “my way or the highway” and could potentially result in the United States defaulting for the first time in history.
According to Gene Sperling, House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) attempt to pass a bill to raise the debt limit does not grant him or anyone else the authority to demand a conversation that could potentially lead to the United States defaulting for the first time in history.
Sperling emphasized the significance of comprehending that negotiating over raising the debt limit is a veiled way of announcing to the nation that if one’s budget or policy objectives are not met, they will cause the United States to default and possibly result in a severe economic downturn.
Sperling made it clear that no individual or political party, be it Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, should ever consider doing so. He further noted that everyone has been aware of this fact since 2011.
