Voters Want To Tax The Rich To Pay For This

New polling information has found that Americans from all sides of the political spectrum are open to the idea of taxing the rich to expand Social Security benefits.
According to Truthout, new polling information taken by Data for Progress has discovered that 81% of Americans strongly support the Democrats’ plan to increase Social Security benefits because of high cost of living increases.
88% of Democrats and a shocking 75% of Republican voted in favor of the idea.
When asked if the rich should be taxed to increase social security benefits an astounding 76% of voters said that they be in favor of it if the Americans taxed were ones who made more than $400,000 a year.
It has also been learned that Americans are very concerned about lawmakers cutting Social Security funding or even threatening insolvency. Many senior citizens especially those who are living paycheck to paycheck are extremely concerned about their Social Security benefits being cut.
93% of Americans polled admitted that they are concerned about their benefits being cut and even more (94%) were concerned about Social Security insolvency.
