You may have already heard about the countless flight cancelations over Christmas weekend. However, it is now being reported that another 2,800 flights have been canceled and another 8,000 flights have also been delayed.
What is the reason behind these flight delays? Is it the excess number of travelers towards the end of the year? or is caused by the recent surge in covid cases? or is it because of President Biden’s vaccination policy? The truth is the answer is unclear and is likely a combination of all of these things.
According to CNN, globally over 6,000 flights were cancelled on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day.
Furthermore, the Wall Street Journal noted that severe snow conditions in several parts of the Western United States also contributed to more than usual flight cancellations and delays as well.
