Social Security Running Out
Here’s when…
As you already may know, experts have predicted that the time frame for Social Security and Medicare to run dry is bound to happen. However, now it appears that the date these plans will run dry has officially moved further but Americans are still worried.
According to Fox News, The annual Social Security and Medicare trustees report has found that the Social Security trust fund will not be able to pay out full benefits starting in 2035. Their previous estimate claimed that funds would start running dry in 2034.
Furthermore, the Medicare’s trust fund for inpatient hospital care has also moved back to 2028 compared to their previous prediction of 2026.
The report then stated, “Economic recovery from the 2020 recession has been stronger and faster than assumed in last year’s reports, with positive effects on the projected actuarial status of the trust funds in these reports.”
