Changes To Social Security Payments
Here’s what is going to happen…
In just 17 days, Americans who receive Supplemental Security Income will get the first of two payments for September totaling an amount of $1,652.
According to the Washington Examiner, SSI recipients will receive $841 on September 1st and the second payment, which will be worth the same amount of money, will be sent at the end of September.
This is happening because September is one of the three months every year when recipients receive two payments. April and December are the other months where this happens.
Furthermore, couples who receive SSI will get $1,261 on September 1st and another $1,261 on September 30th. An “essential person” will get $421 on the same dates.
Social Security payments are set to increase in 2023 because of inflation brought on by Joe Biden’s presidency.
