Social Security Fight Takes Major Turn
Biden and the GOP are clashing again!
As you know, President Biden has accused the Republican party, particularly Senator Rick Scott, of trying to cut back on Social Security and Medicare benefits for seniors and now it looks like the fight has only intensified.
According to Fox, things reached a boiling point when President Biden accused Senator Scott of being “confused” for claiming that his cuts to prescription drug costs were really cuts to Medicare.
Biden attempted to humiliate Scott and said, “[Sen. Scott] says that because I’m cutting prescription drug costs, that means I’m cutting Medicare. Where’s he been? I think he’s a little confused. We’re saving Medicare hundreds of billions of dollars over time. We’re strengthening Medicare because they’ll no longer have to pay exorbitant prices for Big Pharma.”
Biden is claiming that he will save senior citizens millions of dollars by lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
Scott immediately fired back at Biden and said, “The only person who is confused here is Joe Biden.”
Scott added, “That’s the only way to explain how he’s forgotten that he spent decades trying to cut Social Security and Medicare. I’ll give him one thing: Biden’s decision to not keep $280 billion in Medicare is a cut and that’s consistent with his yearslong work to cut and attack entitlement programs.”
