Social Security Benefits To Increase?
Here’s what is happening…
Millions of American Senior Citizens are about to see an increase in their Social Security benefits starting in January 2023.
According to The Hill, Seniors will receive the largest increase in decades which is 8.7% due to inflation caused by Joe Biden’s presidency.
Seniors can expect two payments this December because the Social Security Administration (SSA) wants to make sure people who depend on the checks get them for the 1st of the month.
The SSA explained, “We do this to avoid putting you at a financial disadvantage and make sure that you don’t have to wait beyond the first of the month to get your payment. It does not mean that you are receiving a duplicate payment in the previous month, so you do not need to contact us to report the second payment.”
Senor Citizens born from the 1st and 10th day of the month will get their checks on the second Wednesday of each month. Seniors who have a birthday that falls between the 11th and the 20th will receive it on the third Wednesday. Any dates after that receive your check on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
