New Shortage Threatens Americans
America cannot deal with anymore shortages. The Biden Administration needs to deal with this now.
Just when we thought the United States was about put it’s supply chain issues in the rearview mirror a new beef shortage is expected to cause major problems in 2023 and 2024.
According to the Washington Times, the beef shortage is likely to occur because of drought and earlier than expected cattle slaughter.
Texas cattle ranchers, who produce nearly 15% of America’s beef, are now being forced into sending their animals to slaughter earlier due to unexpected drought conditions.
Livestock specialist David Anderson explained, “There isn’t enough grass to eat and it’s become too expensive to buy feed. We’ve had a large amount of culling this year because of drought.”
While the drought certainly isn’t the fault of President Biden, expensive animal feed certainly is due to Biden’s inflation raising the prices of just about everything.
Texas counties of Deaf Smith, Castro, Parmer and Hartley which is where most of the beef production is done is still dealing with a moderate to severe lack of rain.
