Senate Sending Money To Seniors, Do You Qualify?
Here are the details…
While it is not official yet, Senator Bernie Sanders has just announced that the Senate is now in talks to send $1000 to seniors as a Medicare benefits voucher.
According to Yahoo News, Sanders said in greater detail that, “In terms of the voucher, what we want to do is make sure that people understand the significance. So as a bridge, I think what we’re looking at is here’s $1,000 right away, use that to go to a dentist if you cannot afford to go. That’s very temporary, but maybe a bridge for a year.”
Anyone who currently receives Medicare should qualify.
Senate Democrats are pushing to expand Medicare so seniors can get dental, vision, and hearing benefits. Big names in the Democrat party are backing this new Medicare push including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Currently Democrats have outlined a plan to include vision coverage next year, hearing by 2023, and dental by 2028. Senator Sanders said he wants to see dental coverage brought to medicare sooner than 2028.
