Republicans To Cut Social Security?
Here’s what is happenening.
For months now, President Biden and the Democrats have been scaring Americans by telling them that the Republican Party would start cutting their social security funding if they regain power in the House and Senate.
Now, top Republican Senator Rick Scott has cleared up a lot of misinformation regarding these claims and conservative voters are relieved.
According to Newsmax, Senator Scott explained that he doesn’t “know one Republican” who is trying to cut any amount of funding to anyones Social Security benefits or their Medicare.
Scott even doubled down and said that he is going to “fight like hell” to protect it.
During a recent interview, Scott was asked if Republicans will cut Medicare and/or Social Security in any way, Scott replied, “Absolutely not. And you know the Democrats just cut $280 billion — all Democrats in the Senate and House voted to cut $280 billion out of Medicare just two months ago. And then they want to say Republicans want to cut something? Democrats have done this.”
Scott then added, “What I want to do is make sure we live within our means and make sure we preserve those programs. People paid into them. They believe in them.”
