Pelosi Dupes The American People
Democrats want to change the rules for everyone except themselves.
According to records, Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used tens of thousands of dollars more from her campaign funds for private jet travel, despite advocating for climate change policies that target the fossil fuel sector.
According to the Washington Examiner, Pelosi, who has been a supporter of green energy policies for a long time, faced criticism for her use of private jets while leading House Democrats in the passage of President Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, a comprehensive climate and energy bill that could cost taxpayers up to $1.2 trillion over a decade. Her campaign reportedly paid Advanced Aviation, a charter aircraft company, over $43,600 in March for private jet travel, taking her total jet expenses to almost $700,000 since the end of 2020, as per campaign finance disclosures.
Representative Pete Sessions (R-TX), who is a member of the House Financial Services Committee, stated to the Washington Examiner that “she has an extraordinary amount of wealth to be able to afford things that the average American cannot and will not ever have in their lifetime, and this is how she chooses to spend her money.” He further added, “The policies that she promotes have not only led to inflation but have also caused instability in the marketplace, resulting in the destruction of many people’s financial accounts.”
According to a report by Transport & Environment, a European energy group based in Belgium, private jets are approximately 10 times more “carbon-intensive” than commercial flights on average. The report also revealed that private jets are between five to 14 times more polluting than commercial flights and 50 times more polluting than trains.
Disclosures reveal that Pelosi’s campaign has made a total of 14 payments to Advanced Aviation since October 2020, with an average payment of approximately $42,400. During the midterm elections, her campaign paid over $349,500 for charter aircraft, with roughly $51,300 of that amount spent on in-kind travel to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in September of that year.
Despite her campaign’s significant spending on private jets, the former House speaker has been an advocate for phasing out fossil fuels. In April of last year, she tweeted her support for this stance, stating that “Oil and gas executives are hoarding their bonuses and profits at the expense of working people who have to drive to earn a living despite the high prices at the pump.”

Oil and gas execs are hoarding their bonuses and profits on the backs of working people who have to drive to earn a living despite the price at the pump.
Their greed is making our case to fight corporate monopolies, diversify our energy sources and transition from fossil fuels.
