Experts are warning Americans and business owners that the seafood industry could soon face shortages in many fish and other seafood products because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
According to Fox, Russia is a major exporter of certain kinds of fish and other seafood products and that could all come to an end for the United States if they place a sanction on Russia’s seafood trade.
This all started before Russia even invaded Ukraine however, In February U.S. Senators introduced a bill planning to equalize the seafood trade between Russia and the United States.
In 2014, Russia fired the first shot and banned all imports of seafood from the U.S. However the United States continued to spend an astounding $4.6 billion on purchasing Russian seafood.
