Biden Orders Emergency Meeting

Inflation is tearing through the United States faster than anything else at this point. As a result President Biden has now called an emergency meeting with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to address how to quickly prevent inflation from getting worse.

According to Fox Business, both Biden and Powell will try to figure out how to help the U.S. economy more specifically soaring consumer prices in the United States. This is the first meeting of its kind since Biden renominated Powell to lead the central bank.

Biden explained, “The most important thing we can do now to transition from rapid recovery to stable, steady growth is to bring inflation down. That is why I have made tackling inflation my top economic priority.”

Inflation is currently at a 40 year all time high and President Biden knows he has to tackle this problem before the midterms or else Democrats will be hit with a red wave never before seen.
