New Gas Prices For 2023
Strap in folks.
Welp, 2023 is officially here and thanks to President Biden and the Democrats inflation has yet to be tamed however there is a lot of speculation about which direction gas prices will go in for the rest of the year.
According to Fox, as of right now experts believe that gas prices will fall in 2023 however summer travel may result in gas prices shooting up to $4 per gallon in May.
GasBuddy, which monitors gas prices across the United States, recently released their projection for gas prices in 2023 and believes Americans will find lower gas prices throughout the year if nothing major happens. They have also predicted that the yearly national average for gas prices will drop by 50 cents compared to 2022 where the yearly average was $3.49 cents.
From January to February, gas prices are expected to hover around the $3 per gallon range and will eventually rise to $4 per gallon when the weather gets warmer.
GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan explained, “2023 is not going to be a cakewalk for motorists. It could be expensive. The national average could breach $4 a gallon as early as May – and that’s something that could last through much of the summer driving season.”
President Biden and the Democrats should focus on increasing oil production in the United States if they hope to lower gas prices however with their aim to force Americans to buy electric vehicles it is unclear if they will try and lower gas prices.
