Minimum Wage Raised To 18 Dollars
This was surprising.
In a move that has made headline across the country, Hawaii has just passed new legislation to raise the minimum wage to $18 per hour for everyone in the state by 2028.
According to Fox, the current minimum wage sits at $10.10 per hour.
The minimum wage going to $18 per hour will make it the highest paying wage in the United States. However some state automatically lift their wages to match the cost of living. So some states such as California could have a higher minimum wage in 2028 due to inflation.
The bill to raise the minimum wage in Hawaii passed the House and Senate which are controlled by Democrats and is now going to be signed by Governor David Ige.
