Meat Recession Ahead Of Thanksgiving
Start saving now.
The fears of a big “meat recession” are starting to worry some farmers just before the holidays.
According to Fox News, meat delivery company Good Ranchers is warning that “a meat recession is knocking and supply is about to be tight”. This is happening because many famers’ cattle herd are shrinking due to Biden’s economic and environmental concerns.
Good Ranchers further explained and wrote, “The cattle herd has shrunk due to droughts. Our total meat supply for the coming year is down significantly. This is one of the main reasons a meat recession is coming.”
Senior commodities strategist Walter Kunisch agreed with the Good Ranchers and said he believes a meat recession is also on the horizon.
“We believe that an acute and protracted drought in the southwest U.S. is responsible for increased culling of beef cattle which is leaving the U.S. structurally short beef cattle and beef supplies,” Kunisch added.
Americans should save accordingly going into the holiday season this year for a number of reasons such as inflation, gas prices and now sadly meat.
