Recently on the Senate floor, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell sternly explained to Democrats that the Republican party will not help them by voting to raise the debt ceiling so they can pass the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill.
According to Fox News, McConnell sternly said, “Let me make something perfectly clear: If they don’t need or want our input, they won’t get our help. They won’t get our help with the debt limit increase that these reckless plans will require.”
McConnell then said, “They control the White House, they control the House, they control the Senate. They can raise the debt ceiling, and if it’s raised, they will do it.”
This isn’t the first time McConnell has warned Democrats. Last month he shared a similar sentiment.
Democrats’ rampant spending has already fueled painful inflation.
But now they want to ram through another $3.5 trillion reckless taxing-and-spending spree?
That’s the opposite of what this recovering economy needs right now. pic.twitter.com/6ZwR0Fetuz
