Lawmakers Abusing Tax Dollars For This

In shocking turn of events, The House of Representatives has just announced plans to give themselves and staffers in Washington and in district offices free Peloton memberships with American tax dollars. Peloton is a company which makes exercise equipment such as treadmills and stationary cycles.

According to Fox, a draft email revealed that lawmakers are planning to move forward on plans to give “premier employee benefits” to themselves, staffers and even Capitol police. These benefits include both Peloton All-Access and a Peloton App membership at no cost.

The government could soon sign a contract with Peloton that will provide over 10,000 people working for the House of Representatives and more than 2,300 Capitol Police officers free fitness memberships.

Peloton is expected to receive a $10,000 upfront payment followed by plus an additional $10 per month for each staffer or officer. Essentially, if everyone uses this benefit then the government would be paying out an astounding $120,000 a month.
