Inflation Tearing Through American Families
This is why were all suffering.
Almost always, economists choose to leave food and energy cost out of their inflation figures because it is simply too volatile to be meaningful when they make their calculations. Sadly however, for everyday middle class Americans they cannot afford to look past the costs of food and energy because of just how expensive everything has gotten.
According to Financial Advisor, primary consumer expenses such as fuel, power, and grocery-store food have been rising for two straight months and by double-digit annual rates for the first time since 1981.
What’s even worse is that economists predicted that inflation would reach its PEAK in March and then cool down. Sadly, they were dead wrong. Currently gas is at ~$5 per gallon and the cost of groceries are higher every time a family goes to the store to stock up their pantries.
President Biden has repeatedly told Americans to stay strong and “we will get through this” but that day seems to never come. Americans want relief now but it hasn’t come yet.
