How To Get Child Tax Credit Without Children
Here’s what you can do…
Not too long ago, the Biden Administration moved to expand the child tax credit which gives “family stimulus checks” to 35 million households.
Families will receive $1,800 for every child under 6 and $1,500 for kids aged between 6-17.
However, did you know you could still receive the child tax credit and not technically have any children?
According to Yahoo News, If you are raising “young adults” between the ages of 18 to 24 you can receive a one time payment of $500 under some very specific conditions.
According to the IRS here are the requirements:
- A child who’s 18 years old must be claimed as a dependent.
- Adult children ages 19 to 24 must be attending college full time.
- The older kids must have Social Security numbers.
