More Gas Powered Products Banned
Things are changing very fast.
First President Biden and the Democrats came for gas-powered vehicles then gas stoves and now it appears that the Democrats are coming for everything else including your landscaping equipment as well.
According to Fox, two Democrats out of Minnesota have unveiled a new set of bills that aim to change how their residents take care of their lawns and even how local ice rinks are operated as well in order to prevent climate change.
State Reps. Jerry Newton and Heather Edelson have unveiled bills that are looking to block the sale of common landscaping appliances such as lawnmowers and chainsaws along with ice-resurfacing machines that are gas powered.
Their bill aims to ban any and all landscaping equipment that use “a spark ignition engine rated at or below 19 kilowatts or 25 gross horsepower.”
If this bill is passed in the state it would essentially ban all lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge clippers, chainsaws, lawn edgers, string trimmers and brush cutters that basically run on gas.
Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman explained, “DFLers are committed to taking action on climate – unchecked climate pollution threatens Minnesota’s future. Now is the time to take bold action and ensure Minnesotans have the healthy climate and clean energy future they deserve.”
