Will Food Prices Increase In 2023?
This is not good.
Americans experienced some of the worst inflation in 2022 thanks to President Biden however things may not be getting any better in 2023 and American farmers now believe prices could be even worse.
According to Fox, Tennessee farmer Stephanie Nash sounded the alarm and said, “I definitely think we have a food security threat. I believe 2023 is going to be rough. Worse than this year.”
What’s even more pathetic about Joe Biden’s presidency is that food prices have actually been higher than overall inflation! Food prices climbed by 10.6% in November compared to the previous year. Inflation, while still high, was at 7.1% meaning that food costs more than the national inflation rate.
Nash added, “2022 was a really hard year. I think there’s going to be a lot of shortages next year for sure.”
She went on to explain, “We’re going to have a supply chain shortage, we’re going to have an increase in our food [prices] at the grocery store. I don’t think it’s going to go down anytime soon, and I think Americans are really going to be hurting in their wallet.“
Americans should be wise and continue to be cautious with how they spend their money especially if they are already living paycheck-to-paycheck. People are beginning to believe that as long as President Biden and Kamala Harris are in the White House, inflation is here to stay.
