No More Beer
If you like to kick back and have an ice cold beer after a long day’s work there might be some bad news.
It now appears that many breweries across the United States are now dealing with a carbon dioxide shortage resulting in the ability to brew beer.
According to Fox News, CO2 is the key ingredient when making beer. Without CO2 breweries are now stopping production and even cutting jobs. Biden’s America is a desperate one.
Urban South Brewery owner Jacob Landry who is desperate to get his hands on CO2 explained, “I’m in daily texts, communication with my supplier.”
Landry is still able to get CO2 however he is forced to pay triple the price for it.
“This spike is having a big impact on our bottom line,” Landry explained. “Our supplier is trying to source it wherever they can. We can’t get the quality we need out of our normal supply lines.”
This CO2 shortage stems from one of the nation’s largest gas production hubs in Mississippi. Most breweries source their CO2 from this location.
The Mississippi gas factory is still producing CO2 however they have elevated levels of other hydrocarbons that do not meet food and drink requirements.
“It’s causing a tightness in the market,” Gas World’s John Raquet explained. “I think it is a crisis at the moment when you have breweries telling their staff you’re going to be laid off because we’re not getting supplies until September or October.
