Elon Musk’s Big Failure

This is not good.

In some bad news for Americans who were hoping for more freedom of speech online, it has now been learned that Elon Musk has informed Twitter owners that he is no longer interested in purchasing Twitter.

According to Axios, Musk will not be following through on the $44 billion deal because Musk says that the company did not follow through on its contractual obligations.

This is now likely going to start a massive legal battle between Twitter and Musk and a Delaware court will be the ultimate arbiter.

Musk believes that Twitter is undercounting the true number of “bot” accounts on their platform and was demanding access to the data.

Twitter chairman Bret Taylor stated, “The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement. We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery.”
