Americans Forced To Buy New Cars

The state of California has just announced a plan that will ban any and all sales of new gas powered vehicles by 2035 in an attempt to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

According to Fox, the California Air Resources Board is already demanding that 35% of all new car sales to be either battery or hydrogen-powered by 2026. They plan to hold the vote for this in August.

After the plan was revealed, California Governor Gavin Newsom said, “Pull away from the gas pumps. Let us no longer be victims of geopolitical dictators that manipulate global supply chains and global markets.”

In 2021 there was a total of 12% sales of electric vehicles in the state of California. This was a 4% increase from the previous year.
