Democrats Call For Major Export Ban
Wow, finally some Democrats want to use common sense.
America’s oil crisis has gotten so bad now even Democrats are telling President Biden to stop exporting oil from the United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve to China because we need it.
It’s astonishing that the President of the United Stated needs to be an idea so simple. It’s common sense. When the United States is desperate for oil, DON’T send the oil we have to China.
Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna urged President Biden to stop sending oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to China when they ask for it.
In transcript provided by Breitbart, Khanna explained, “[H]ere’s one idea, why don’t we put a ban on gasoline — and the export of oil. I mean, that is something the White House is considering. Fox News runs about how we sold oil or gas to China, let’s ban it. Let’s have more domestic supply. That’s something maybe we can come to an agreement on.”
Khanna was then asked if the U.S. banning exports out of the country to places like Europe and to our European allies would harm our close ties to them especially due to ongoing issues with Russia.
Khanna replied, “That’s a very fair point, and I would have an exception on natural gas for our European allies. But we could still do a lot by having an export ban, generally, on gasoline and other refined products but have an exception on natural gas or some other things for our allies. I mean, that is a fair point. It shouldn’t just be a blanket ban.”
