Democrat State Enforces New Ban On What?
This is getting ridiculous.
A new bill getting pushed through the California state assembly is looking to now ban paper receipts from being handed out to customers unless they specifically request one.
According to Fox, the newly re-introduced “Skip the Slip” bill could soon fine businesses up to $300 if they continue to hand out paper receipts to customers.
It appears that Democrat leaders such as President Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom are applauding the new regulation. California Democrat Phil Ting has introduced bill 1347 and says it’s an easy way to reduce paper waste in California.
Phil Ting stated, “When we get coffee to-go or a pack of gum, most of us don’t want or need a physical receipt. It’s time we provide customers with the option to get no receipt or a digital receipt. It doesn’t make sense to kill so many trees and produce billions pounds of carbon emissions. AB 1347 gives customers a choice and still provides for customers to request a paper receipt when they need it.”
Democrats are now trying to force stores to send electronic receipts and surprisingly a large number of Republicans have raised little issue about it.
