This is shocking!
A new report from U-Haul has just found that Americans have been overwhelmingly migrating to southern part of the United Stated and Texas is their top destination overall.
Furthermore, according to Fox, resident from California and Illinois were the highest majority that moved down south more specifically to Texas data from U-Haul reported.
Why are some many people moving to the south like places such as Texas and Florida? Well the true reason is unclear but it likely has something to do with the leadership and coronavirus pandemic where both states fought back heavily against President Biden’s overreaching mandates.
Kristina Ramos, U-Haul Company of South Austin president, stated, “The Texas economy is growing fast. With a strong job market and low cost of living, it’s a no-brainer. Texas doesn’t have an income tax, so families get more for their money.”
Matt Merrill, U-Haul Area District Vice President, stated, “We see a lot of growth coming from the East and West Coast. A lot of people moving here from California (and) New York. We also see a lot of people coming in from the Chicago markets.”
He further explained, “I think that’s a lot due to the job growth – a lot of opportunity here. The cost of living here is much lower than those areas. Texas is open for business.”
