Business Owners Sue Mayor
They can’t financially survive like this.
Several New York restaurant and gym owners have just filed a lawsuit against New York City and Mayor Bill de Blasio because they simply cannot deal with the city’s vaccine requirements.
According to Fox Business, de Blasio issued an executive order forcing employees and customers to to show proof of vaccination to enter and use indoor services.
“We’re representing the restaurants, the gym owners — any small businesses affected by this mandate,” attorney Louis Gelormino said. “What we’re looking for is a permanent injunction against the mandate to test people as they walk into restaurants and gyms or require [proof of] vaccination.”
The lawsuit also claimed the new executive order was “arbitrary, irrational unscientific, and unlawful.”
“There’s a myriad of constitutional violations this affects,” the attorney added.
